Jason Sam
Jason has been singing his whole life and he didn't even know it. Born in Ghana, West Africa, Jason started
singing organized and professionally with his boarding schools' choir at 13. He also joined one of the school's
2 Christian music groups (There were only 2 music groups at the school).
After graduating from the fifth form at 15, he jumped oceans and moved to Dale City, VA. Then, after being
accepted to The College of William and Mary, he promptly auditioned for and joined The William
and Mary Choir at the beginning of his freshman year. He was a member of the choir for all 4 years, performing on US Spring Tours,
President Clinton's 1997 second Inauguration, Ambassador Pamela Harriman's State funeral in 1997, European Tour 1999
and several other choir engagements all through to his graduation. Also in his freshman year, he joined the College's
only African-American Gospel Choir (Ebony Expressions). He was a co-founder of the college's first and only Men's
Christian Acapella group (One Accord), all the while a part of the College's Stage and Drama music performances.
After University he moved to and lived in Japan, where in his spare time he sang at a local venue with a guitar maestro
and his various musically gifted friends. All of that culminating in an International Music Festival, organized and
hosted by Jason. Oh don't worry he had a lot of chances to perform as well in the Festival. Currently back in the States,
he had been fairly quiet on the music front until joining Euphonism, aside from a few forays in the shower.
