Guy Divita

"Hi Guy, Cute little Right-Guard you got there."
"Guy Noir, private Eye"
"A wise guy, ah?"
"The old guy"
"The nice guy"

Twenty something I'm not, nor am I famous. I hail from the Maryland suburbs, but was born and schooled in D.C, (SJC and GWU) Found my true love at GWU. A girl with a '69 Mustang. Fast forward: two kids, another degree, many goldfish and kites later, a dog, a mini- van, and a quiet life in the suburbs of Virginia. Indulgent other passions come in the form of things a cappella, (Did I mention kites and goldfish?) libraries, gardening, Thin Man movies, peaches, and an occasional sip of Port. Before the college years, I sang in SJC's chorus, madrigals, and barbershop groups. There were gigs in church folk groups from time to time. The guy went silent for many years. Although his kids hate it when he listens to the family's eclectic mix of CDs including Moxy Fruvus, DaVinci's Notebook, the Nonets, Daryl Davis, or Squirrel Nut Zippers, he's equally likely to be tapping his foot to the beat of 16th century Gregorian chants or Killer Queen. The fire to sing has been reignited. Guy now lives for a good bass line.
